Be The First To Comment

Getting more friend requests? Do you feel that they are your friends or your known ones? Many of you may feel that what is the reason to ask these things when Facebook actually asks when you accept any friend request.

People who are behind making new friends daily and want to increase their friends base, they don't feel it is important to even know whether the request is real or fake.

But sometimes it is necessary to know who these people are who without you knowing them are sending friend requests. Facebook informs the mutual friends between you and the new friend one who is known to both of you.

Taking this situation into consideration, finding a solution for finding out who actually are the people who send you friend requests must be known to you. So, Facebook has an app for that too.

FakeOFF app - an app to protect your account from scammers or fakers. This finds out the bogus and fake accounts.

How to use Fake Off App and find out fake friends in account:

  • The app will display some questions for you to answer. Like do you know him / her outside Facebook or is he / her a celebrity, etc. Answer those by clicking on the check boxes below them.
  • Click Submit And Get Basic Results
  • The analysis process takes some time to display the results. It will display in the score from 1 to 10.
Depending upon the score of the analysis, you will have to decide whether you can continue to be friends or not.

On this same lines, there is another app called FB Checker app that also informs you who is fake and who is real.

Best browser Add-On's for checking who are your Facebook profile visitors

Be The First To Comment
Facebook users know how to set options to limit audience to their profile or posts via "Who can see my stuff" option from the Settings option. But here I am not discussing that option here. A start to say that users can limit their audience either to "Public" or Private" or "Friends" etc.

Either you can use Facebook Apps to check the profile visitors or there is another way to deal with it. That is installing the Extensions or Add - On's for a specific browser. Depending upon the browser you are using, you can install that add on and instantly get notified.

For Firefox users : If you are using Firefox, then an add on called "iFrameBook" is useful for information of who is visiting your profile. This add on is completely free to download.

Steps to download iFrameBook for Mozilla Firefox:

Please note that if your friend also has installed this add on on his or her browser then it is possible for you to know that he has visited your profile.

For Google Chrome users : If you are having Chrome, then you can have this extension called "Profile Visitors".

This extension is for Firefox and Chrome both browsers. To get it for Chrome,
  • Go to the link Profile Visitors
  • Select the option Chrome from the drop down list
  • Then click "Activate" button

Facebook App Profile Visitors: There is another way to find out the profile visitors. An app called ProfileVisitors2013  will help you.

When you visit the link, you will be directed to a Facebook page. On that you have to click on the link from About section. The link will direct you to the download link.

Any way you use or any browser you use, there is a possibility of finding out the profile visitors of your Facebook account. To keep your account safe and secured from hackers, this is very necessary step. People may hack or get the details which are not shown on your profile.

So, get it secured by downloading an add on.

Latest feature in Facebook - "Create Post" button on Fan Pages

Be The First To Comment
Facebook has added a small but useful feature in the fan pages, called as "Create Post" button. If you have created a fan page in your account, then being an administrator, you need to add new and fresh posts or content to your fan page.

The "Create Post" button which is seen at the top of the fan page besides other buttons like Edit page, Insights, Hide Page, etc, is basically added for directing the admin person to go directly to the Status box, where you can add the content or post.

Earlier you have added posts to your fan page without this button but now due to this latest feature by Facebook in 2014, one can directly start posting in the text box as the cursor is already placed inside the box and blinking for the user to type.

What are your thoughts about this new change by Facebook? Do you feel it is useful?

Facebook trick to embed "Google Calendar" to Facebook Group

Be The First To Comment
Facebook Group that you create is specifically made for adding members or making a group of people who are interested in your topic. The topic is discussed and shared with other members who can see it on the group feed. Once a person becomes a member he or she can share and add their information in the group.

In a group you manage events, converse, message to each other, inform, share, etc.

If your group is based on specific topic, then you may think of arranging some events for your members. The events need to be scheduled on some dates. For this if you have written or added the events in Google Calendar then that needs to be imported to the Facebook Group.

Google Calendar is a online calendar that keeps the record of important events.

The dates that you have marked as important for an event in your personal Google Calendar will not be seen in Facebook unless you embed the code of the calendar in to your Facebook Group.

The post is regarding the ways or technique to embed or add your Google Calendar to your Facebook Group.

The steps to embed Google Calendar to your Facebook Group are :
  • Log in to your Google Calendar
  • Click on "My Calendar" option at the left side of the screen
  • Now click "Create New Calendar"
  • If you already have one created then click on the name of the calendar
  • Then search for "Calendar Address" option on the page. You can see 3 buttons with different colors.
  • Select "Html" and click that button
  • The code is displayed on the screen. Copy it.
  • Copy the entire line of code.
  • Now log in to your Facebook account
  • Click on the name of the group
  • Click "Link" tab
  • Paste the URL in it
  • Click "Attach" option and type description below
  • Click "Share"

Easy and simple. Now whenever a member from your group clicks on this link then he will get the event details in the calendar.
